The Indian women’s cricket team has announced its squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup, which begins on October 3. The team reached the semifinals in the last edition and is in Group A along with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The team is led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur and will also be joined by vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, who is expected to form a strong opening partnership with Shafali Verma at the top of the order.

India Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad
Dayalan Hemalatha will provide additional top-order firepower to India’s batting line-up along with Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. The addition of Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh will further strengthen the team’s batting depth, forming a strong and well-rounded batting unit. Check out the full squad below:

*The inclusion of Yastika and Shreyanka in the team depends on their fitness as both players have been recovering from injuries for the past few months.

Besides, India will field three replacement players for the match in UAE. The team has a strong all-rounder group including Harmanpreet, Sajana, Sobhana and Deepti, providing diversity and depth to the team.
India’s fast bowlers will be led by Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy and Renuka Singh Thakur, forming a strong fast bowling unit. The spin bowling unit will consist of Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil and Sajana Sajeevan, providing a wide range of options.
