Tama Tonga, also known as Alipate Aloisio Leone, had a unique start in life. He and his brother Taura were born in Tonga and adopted by their aunt and her husband, the famous wrestler Tonga Fifita (also known as “Haku” or “Meng”). They adopted them in 1991 during a visit to Tonga and later moved to Poinciana, Florida.
Growing up, Tama Tonga lived with his biological cousin and adopted brother, Tevita, and his older sister, Vika. After graduating from Phoenix High School, Tama Tonga chose a different path, joining the U.S. Air Force and serving as a B-2 Psychic mechanic at Whiteman Air Force Base for six years.
