The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has also achieved another achievement in its history: the successful launch of the GSLV-F15 rocket carrying the NVS-02 satellite. The event was held at 6:23 am on January 29, 2025 at Sriharikota, Andella. So far, this launching task constitutes the 100th release of ISRO. This is not only a milestone in the past 50 years, but also a lot in terms of developing India’s space exploration capabilities.

Milestone launch
The GSLV-F15 task is particularly worth noting because it is the first launch under the leadership of ISRO’s new chairman Vnarayanan, and the latter has recently worked. The release is also important because it is the best company of ISRO. The journey of this milestone began in Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV), which was withdrawn from Sriharikota on August 10, 1979. Since then, ISRO has made significant improvements in space technology and exploration.

Technical overview
GSLV-F15 is the 17th flight of the Indian Earth Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle and the 11th flight at the local low temperature stage. The diameter of the Metal version of the effective load of the GSLV-F15 is 3.4 meters. This task will enable the NVS-02 satellite to enter the earth synchronous transfer orbit from the second launch table (SLP) of the Satish Dhawan Space Center.

Challenge and achievement
Historically, the GSLV series is a problematic series. Its previous failure rate was 37 %, winning the SOBRIQUET of ISRO’s “naughty boy”. Among the 16 releases, 6 failed. However, ISRO’s recent launch vehicle MARK-3 has achieved a perfect success record. Despite such setbacks, ISRO expresses toughness and innovation by grasping the technology of low -temperature engines after overcoming the initial setbacks related to technology transfer.
NVS-02 is part of the navigation of the Indian and Indian constellations (Navic). This is an independent regional navigation satellite system. It aims to provide accurate positions, speed and timing services (PVT) services in India, and extend within its border. About 1500 kilometers. Navic provides two types of services: standard positioning services (SPS) and restriction services (RS), providing high accuracy for various applications.
Look forward to the future
When Isro celebrates the milestone achievement of the 100th session, the agency has determined to think about the previous situation. In terms of developing navigation satellites and rockets, the agency hopes to be as behind as those who are behind in the future because it continues to advance in technology and leaders.
The successful launch of GSLV-F15 is a good milestone of ISRO, which also reflects India’s ability to grow in space technology. With the continuous innovation of the country and extending its coverage to space, this launch proves that it is committed to becoming the leader of space exploration and satellite navigation systems.
