Vande Bharat connects Katra and Srinagar
The Delats traveling to Kashmir will now enjoy a luxurious journey through this new Vande Bharat train:
- Vande Bharat Express will run between Katra and Srinagar, improving rail connections to the valley.
- Travelers from Delhi or other cities must first arrive in Katra and board the Vande Bharat train to Srinagar.
- Passengers are required to provide separate tickets for Katra and Katra in Delhi and travel to Srinagar.

This train is specially designed to withstand the bad weather in Kashmir.

Katra to Srinagar Vande Bharat starts
according to News 18A senior railway official confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the Vande Bharat train on February 17, 2025. After launch, passengers can go directly to Srinagar by train.
