League of Legends 13.24 Patch Notes
League of Legends patch 13.24 is set to release on December 6th and is expected to be a major update before the Vegas Open. Unlike the standard first TFT (Team Fight Tactics) patch, this one is relatively small to avoid drastic changes in game dynamics, especially as a match approaches. The decision not to implement Patch B early is to give players more time to adapt to the current version and avoid unnecessary disruption to the majority of players.

Patch 13.24, scheduled for December 8-10 before the Vegas Open, will focus on tweaking glaring outliers in the game rather than making sweeping changes. The goal is to maintain a stable meta for upcoming events and ensure a level playing field for participants. The patch is seen as a strategic move to keep the game in good shape while addressing specific balance issues, balancing the need for tweaks with the desire to maintain stability.

League of Legends, commonly known as League, is a popular online multiplayer arena game developed and published by Riot Games in 2009. Inspired by Defense of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III, the founders of Riot Games aimed to create a standalone game within the same genre. The game is free-to-play and generates revenue through purchasable character customization. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows and macOS.
In League of Legends, two teams of five players engage in player-versus-player combat, with each team defending their half of the map. Players control unique characters called “Champions,” each with unique abilities. During matches, champions become more powerful by gaining experience points, earning coins, and purchasing items to defeat their opponents. The main game mode, Summoner’s Rift, involves teams advancing into an enemy base to destroy their “nexus.”
League of Legends gameplay
“League of Legends” is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game in which players control characters called “champions” in player-versus-player battles. As of 2023, there are over 160 heroes with unique abilities. During matches, champions gain experience points by defeating enemies to level up. Players can enhance the strength of their heroes by acquiring items using gold coins, which can be obtained passively over time or actively by defeating opponents.
In the main game mode, Summoner’s Rift, champions can purchase items through a store menu that is only available in their team’s base. Each game is independent, and levels and items do not transfer between games. The team’s strategic goal is to advance on the enemy base and destroy their “hub.” Gameplay is dynamic and requires teamwork, strategy, and individual skill. League of Legends is known for its regular updates and patches, keeping the game fresh and balanced.
League of Legends plot
Initially, League of Legends players existed as “summoners,” political leaders who commanded champions in battle to prevent a catastrophic war in the Lands of Justice. However, in 2014, Riot Games rebooted the game’s setting, removing summoners to avoid creative stagnation. The decision upset some long-time fans, but was deemed necessary as the player base grew. Riot has hired Warhammer writer Graham McNeil to contribute to the game’s new story.
The Just Lands are replaced by a new fictional setting called Runeterra, which blends elements from various genres, including Lovecraftian horror and traditional sword-and-sorcery fantasy. Riot storytellers and artists contributed flavor text that enriched the game’s narrative. These stories were the basis for the game’s expansion into other media, such as comic books and spin-off video games.
League of Legends release date
“League of Legends” announced the launch of the Microsoft Windows version on October 7, 2008, and began internal testing in April 2009. The game was officially launched in North America on October 27, 2009. Riot Games originally planned to release the game with 20 heroes, but doubled that number ahead of full launch. The free-to-play model and lack of single-player modes initially confused the publisher, but Riot struck a deal with Tencent in 2008 to oversee the game’s distribution in China.
