Pacific Drive Resources and Harvesting Guide, Gameplay, Trailer and More

Pacific Avenue

Pacific Avenue is a 2024 survival game from Ironwood Studios and Kepler Interactive. It takes place in the picturesque Pacific Northwest. Players can travel through this picturesque land on foot or in a wagon to escape. The game uses a first-person perspective and metal monsters will rush to grab the player’s vehicle, bringing challenges to the player.

Beyond survival, the wagon is a customizable asset that provides repair options and personalization in the player’s garage. Development on Pacific Road began in 2019, when creative director Alexander Dracott conceived the game while driving across the Olympic Peninsula.

Pacific Road was released on PlayStation 5 and Windows on February 22, 2024, and received critical acclaim for its immersive atmosphere, well-crafted characters, and detailed vehicle design. Despite the praise, the game was criticized for being repetitive and challenging, making the player’s journey of survival both fun and difficult.

Pacific Avenue Resources and Harvesting Guide

Understanding resource gathering in the late to mid-game is vital to your survival in Pacific Drive. This guide is designed to provide important information on where and how to obtain specific resources, as well as the various methods that can be used to gather them.

Potential customers harvested

Lead is an important resource that can be obtained from lead plating at research stations throughout the region. Look for it near anomalies and research labs, which usually have multiple laptops.

Swamp Egg Collection

Swamp Eggs, the glowing pink balls on the abandoned cars in the middle of the Swamp area, are essential for leveling up. While you can pick them up with your bare hands, using a Vacuum will allow you to quickly collect large quantities of Swamp Eggs. You’ll need a large number of Swamp Eggs to level up, and you’ll need 80 Swamp Eggs to craft a Blowtorch.

Hydrothermal crystals

Warm Sap Crystals that emit a beautiful red glow can be found in certain swamp areas. Additionally, scratching armored vehicles has a chance to obtain some crystals without having to venture into the swamp. Breaking Sap Condensers with a Hammer can also yield 4-10 Warm Sap.

Tree sugar party

Sugar candies grow on small red stems sticking out of dead tree stumps in the middle area. They can be picked up by hand or with a vacuum cleaner.

Tips and Tricks

To obtain chemicals, use a decomposer with excess paint. Avoid using putty on rough/steel doors and panels; it’s more efficient to make new ones. Swamp corals found in the swamps of the Neon Reef Anomaly are best collected with a vacuum cleaner. LIM Magnets are obtained by throwing scrap metal into points of interest in deep areas.

Manufacturing Station Insights

Note that the manufacturing station has different pages. Navigating these pages gives access to various upgrades for the car, including circuit boards. Knowing this can greatly enhance your gaming experience.

Regional upgrades and anchors

In the early/mid game, areas with extreme conditions may have their anchors upgraded. Keep an eye on Stability, which changes from Stable to Unstable to Corrupted. This can be a useful way to get early upgrades.

Vehicle Upgrade Tips

The roof scanner upgrade is considered the best upgrade in the game. Battery management is essential for optimal use. Consider installing an extended battery on the seat rack and equip it with rain and wind collectors for charging. Utilize the trunk for spare kits and tools. Use the extended fuel tank and additional cans in your inventory to meet power needs. Pay attention to the maintenance of tires and headlights while on the road.

Pacific Avenue Gameplay

In Pacific Roads, players will embark on a survival adventure set in the 1998 Olympic-restricted Pacific Northwest. The game unfolds from a first-person perspective, and players will traverse the land on foot or in a station wagon.

A unique feature of the game is that players can customize their vehicles in the garage, which serves as the game’s central base of operations. Vehicle diagnostics are managed through a headset, allowing players to troubleshoot issues such as unusual vehicle behavior (such as the horn unexpectedly sounding when turning the steering wheel). Repairs in the game range from immediate repairs such as changing a flat tire and using a blowtorch to more complex tasks handled in the garage.

The Invention Station in the garage becomes a key resource to collect materials and build machines to open new routes, refuel cars, and destroy areas. Facing challenges such as metal monsters grabbing cars and weather factors affecting vehicle handling, players must develop repair strategies and navigate electrical anomalies and obstacles.

The journey isn’t just about survival; players can discover crafting recipes, blueprints, and interact with non-player characters to escape the Olympic Exclusion Zone, while collecting energy cores in each level to unlock gates and return to the garage, triggering a shift in the game’s dynamics with increased hostility and an impending storm.
