Palworld is a video game produced by the Japanese company Pocket Pair. In this game, players will find themselves in an open world filled with animal creatures called “pals”. These pals can be captured, battled, and used for various purposes such as building bases, traveling around the world, and fighting enemies. The game offers the option to play single player or online with up to 32 players on a server.
It was first announced in 2021 and released in Early Access on Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in January 2024. One interesting thing about Palworld is its humorous concept. It is called “Pokémon with guns” because players can equip their pals with guns. In addition to fighting, players can use these creatures to perform different tasks, such as obtaining food or putting them to work in mines and factories. This unique combination of elements has attracted the attention of players and critics.
Players raved about its gameplay, content, and satirical story. In its first few days in Early Access, Palworld was so popular that it sold 8 million copies on Steam and had over 2 million concurrent players. This success made it the second-biggest game of all time on the platform.
How to Play Palworld
Palworld’s gameplay blends peaceful coexistence with thrilling adventure. Players can choose to live in harmony with mysterious companions or risk their lives to fend off ruthless poaching gangs. The versatile companions can be used for a variety of purposes, from fending off danger to working on a farm or in a factory. Interestingly, players can even choose to sell or eat the creatures, adding additional choices and consequences to the game.
Survival is a key aspect of Palworld, the game is set in a challenging environment where food is scarce and the threat of poachers makes every decision crucial. Exploring this world requires careful choices, and players may find themselves making difficult decisions, such as eating their own pals in order to survive.
Gameplay extends to exploration, allowing players to ride on their companions for travel by land, sea and air. Constructing buildings, utilizing companions for production and farming, and exploring dungeons with them are all part of the dynamic gameplay. Additionally, multiplayer support allows cooperative adventures for up to 4 players in online cooperative game modes and up to 32 players on dedicated servers, promoting a social and interactive gaming experience.
