- Swift Shot: Gain a 15% fire rate increase, 25% ranged damage boost, and 5% critical chance for all firearms. This perk enhances your offensive capabilities, allowing you to take down enemies swiftly and effectively.
- Posse Up: With this perk, ammo pickups provide 30% additional ammo per player, and the bonus is split equally among teammates. Additionally, it causes ammo boxes to drop extra ammo on the ground, benefiting your entire team during intense firefights.
- Quick Hands: Firearms gain a 10% reload speed increase, which doubles if the magazine is empty. This perk ensures you can reload quickly during combat, minimizing downtime and maximizing damage output.
- Sleight of Hand: Using a relic reloads the equipped firearm and increases ranged damage by 15% for 10 seconds. This perk provides a tactical advantage, allowing you to maintain consistent damage output and quickly adapt to different situations.
Skills:
- Quick Draw: This skill allows the Gunslinger to pull out their sidearm and fire up to 6 rounds from the hip. Upon releasing the button, the rounds are divided evenly among all visible enemies within 25 meters. Holding and releasing the button aims the weapon manually, giving you precise control over shots fired. This skill is excellent for dealing with groups of enemies.
- Sidewinder: Calls upon the power of the Desert Sidewinder snake to increase ADS (Aim Down Sights) movement speed and draw/swap speed by 50% for 20 seconds. Cycling weapons during this time will automatically reload your incoming firearm. This skill enhances your mobility and ensures you can switch between weapons smoothly in the heat of battle.
- Bulletstorm: Unleashes the full power and speed of the Gunslinger. Traditional firearms become fully automatic, and bows and crossbows gain 50% increased projectile speed and a 25% critical chance. This skill also increases fire rate by 20% and reload speed by 50% for 20 seconds, turning you into a relentless powerhouse. It’s perfect for quickly eliminating tough enemies or overwhelming large groups.
- Handler: The Handler is a versatile support class equipped with a loyal companion that assists in various ways, including damage output, distracting enemies, and supporting allies.
Perks:

- Pack Hunter: While your companion is active and within 25 meters, you gain a 30% increase in ranged and skill damage, along with 5% ranged and skill critical chance. This perk synergizes well with the Handler’s supportive playstyle, making you more effective in combat.
- Spirit of the Wolf: This perk increases your movement speed by 10%. All allies within 10 meters match your movement speed if they are faster, and it reduces the stamina cost of all actions for your allies by 15%. This perk encourages team coordination and mobility on the battlefield.
- Teamwork: The Handler and the companion gain a 30% increased revive speed. While reviving, both the Handler and the companion receive 25% less damage, and the companion gains -1 stagger. This perk ensures that you can quickly revive allies while minimizing the risk of interruption.
- Best Friend: Using a Relic fully restores your companion’s health and grants them a 25% damage resistance for 15 seconds. This perk keeps your companion in fighting shape, allowing them to continue supporting you and your team effectively.
Commands (replace Handler skills):
- Guard Dog: With this command, your companion follows you and gains 15% increased threat, while all damage to the companion is reduced by 20%. A single press causes your companion to engage enemies at a location, while a double press recalls the companion back to you. Holding the command makes the companion howl, reducing damage by 15% to all allies within 20 meters and granting your companion additional threat. This command is useful for drawing enemy attention and protecting your team during tough encounters.

Perks:
- Die Hard: When the Challenger receives fatal damage, they become invulnerable for five seconds and regenerate 100% of their max health. However, this effect can only occur once every ten minutes. This perk ensures your survivability during intense encounters and gives you a second chance when facing near-death situations.
- Close Quarters: Provides up to 40% ranged and melee damage to all enemies within seven meters, with the damage bonus tapering off until 13 meters. It also increases critical chance by up to 10% at the same range. This damage bonus scales with your Challenger Level, rewarding you for getting up close and personal with enemies.
- Intimidating Presence: After activating a Challenger Skill, enemies within ten meters deal 10% less damage for 15 seconds, with an additional 2.5% damage reduction per enemy affected (max 10%). This perk allows you to control the battlefield and mitigate incoming damage during crucial moments.

Dealing high damage to enemies grants one stack of Rage, increasing ranged damage by 5% per stack. Upon reaching 10 stacks, the Challenger goes Berserk, reloading their current firearm and doubling the effects of Rampage for 20 seconds. Rampage is perfect for unleashing a relentless barrage of ranged attacks and decimating foes with rapid-fire weaponry.
- Medic: The Medic class is a vital team player, excelling at healing and supporting allies in the midst of battle. They can heal faster and more efficiently than any other class, ensuring that their team stays alive and in the fight.

While shielded, allies regenerate 30% of their max health over the duration. Healing Shield provides a strong defensive boost, protecting your team from incoming damage and allowing them to recover health gradually.
- Redemption: This skill unleashes a 30-meter shockwave that revives downed allies and restores 75% max health over ten seconds. The heal amount can be increased by holding the skill button for additional seconds, up to a maximum of 300%. Revived allies receive only 25% of the healing amount. Additionally, allies revived by Redemption cannot be revived again by the skill for another 150 seconds. Redemption is a crucial skill for reviving fallen teammates and ensuring your team stays in the fight even in dire situations.
- Hunter: The Hunter class excels in long-range, precision-based gunplay, identifying and eliminating targets with high accuracy. They are skilled at dealing damage to weak points and supporting the team.

Intuition rewards precise shots and allows you to maintain the benefits of your hunter skills for more extended periods.
Skills:
- Mark: This skill allows you to spot enemies through walls and boosts critical chance by 15% against marked targets for your team. Marking enemies provides a tactical advantage, allowing your team to focus fire on high-value targets and weak points.
- Hunter’s Mark: Increases the Hunter’s spatial awareness, applying Mark to all enemies within 35 meters. While senses are heightened, the Hunter gains 15% increased ranged and melee damage. Hunter’s Mark lasts 25 seconds and allows you to keep track of enemies and deal more damage during this time.
- Hunter’s Focus: Heightens the Hunter’s senses, causing aiming at an enemy for 0.01 seconds to apply Mark. Continuously aiming down sights uninterrupted and without shooting for one second causes the Hunter to enter a Focused state. While Focused, weapon speed, recoil, and sway are reduced by 75%, and ranged weak spot damage is boosted by 25%. Ranged critical chance is boosted by 10%. Focused can last for up to ten seconds, providing you with a significant boost in accuracy and damage potential.
- Hunter’s Shroud: The Hunter becomes shrouded, reducing enemy awareness and making them harder to hit while moving. Attacking or activating a mod or skill will instantly exit the shroud, applying Mark to all enemies within ten meters and granting Ambush to the Hunter for two seconds. Ambush increases ranged and melee damage by 50%, which diminishes over its duration, and applies Mark when enemies are attacked. The Hunter will shroud again automatically after 1.15 seconds if no offensive actions are performed. Remnant 2 Gameplay
Remnant 2, like its predecessor, is a third-person shooter that draws inspiration from Soulslike video games. In this game, players have the option to wield up to two guns along with a melee weapon. At the start of the game, players can choose from various character archetypes.

For example, the Gunslinger class replaces the Ex-cultist from the first game and specializes in firearm usage. The Challenger class has the ability to unleash a disintegrating shockwave on enemies, while the Handler class is accompanied by a combat-ready dog companion.
As players progress through the game, they can dual class, unlocking additional abilities and perks specific to their chosen archetypes. The Gunslinger’s unique ability, “Loaded,” allows for an instant reload of all firearms carried by the character. On the other hand, the Handler’s prime perk ability, “Bonded,” enables their dog companion to revive them if they fall in combat.
Remnant 2 takes procedural generation to the next level compared to its predecessor. Not only does it change a level’s layout and enemy spawn points, but it also applies to enemy types, the aesthetic of regions, boss characters, non-playable characters, and the game’s storyline and quests. This randomness adds depth and replayability to the game.
Players have the flexibility to experience the entire game solo, but they can also team up in a cooperative multiplayer mode that supports up to three players.
