Remnant 2 Predators Choose a Mission: Should you kill or resurrect the Doe in Remnant 2 Predators?

You can use one of your relic charges to revive the Red Doe, or you can shoot the Red Doe. Upon entering the Reaver lair, you will encounter the Corrupted Reaver, a character familiar to players who have played Remnant: From the Ashes. He shares stories of his past adventures with a former human who abandoned him for death. However, he was saved by Gen, which changed his perspective.

Unfortunately, under his influence, the Corrupted Reavers managed to capture and harm Yesha’s beloved creature, the Red Doe. He is now asking for your help in eradicating the Red Doe for good. Surprisingly, you have three choices to make, one of which may not be immediately obvious.

The first option is to use your relic cost to resurrect the Red Doe. When the doe is revived, it will charge the Corrupted Reaver, then run away. This choice will lead you into a battle with the Corrupted Reaver.

If you defeat him, you will be rewarded with Doe Antlers, a valuable crafting material for the Red Doe Staff. This thing comes with the “Lifeline” mod, which summons the Spirit of a Red Doe to run forward and deal 188 damage while also restoring 10% health to allies, making it a great choice as a support tank in your team.

Additionally, in addition to the Doe Antlers, you will also receive the Crimson Membrane, which allows you to craft the Merciless Lance. The gun comes with the Bloodline mod, which allows you to unleash a powerful blast of energy that rips apart enemies, making it very effective for crowd control, especially when enemies are lined up in a row.

The second option was to simply shoot the red doe, which quickly doomed Yesha to a slow and horrific death at the hands of a tree root. This choice immediately ends the section, and you will receive the Marauder’s Mark Amulet as a reward. This amulet enhances damage dealt to bleeding enemies, making it a valuable asset to bleeding characters. Additionally, this option saves you from having to fight the Corrupted Reavers.

However, you might stumble upon a third secret option. If you decide to shoot the Corrupted Reaver, this will immediately trigger a fight with him. When the Corrupted Reaver reaches half health, he will eat part of the Red Doe, causing it to die and granting him a devastating vortex attack to use against you.

If you successfully defeat the Corrupted Reaver in the challenge, you’ll be rewarded with the aforementioned Crimson Shroud, but not the Doe Antlers.

Consider your choices wisely, as they will determine the outcome of this encounter and affect the rewards you receive from your perilous journey to the Reaver’s Lair.

Which is the best predator?

Of the three available options, it is strongly recommended not to choose the third option under any circumstances. This option is significantly inferior to the other two, as it only offers one of the two bonuses offered by the first option. Therefore, choosing the third option would mean missing out on the significant benefits offered by the other two options.

To make an informed decision between the remaining two options, it is recommended to consider your character build. If you’re following a bleed-focused build or plan to do so in the future, the Reaver’s Marked Talisman could be a valuable option. This amulet may complement such a build, thereby increasing its effectiveness and overall performance.

On the other hand, if your character build doesn’t revolve around bleed damage, then the wisest and most advantageous option is to resurrect the Hind. This decision ensures you receive the full benefits offered by your first choice, optimizing your rewards and progress.

To sum up, since the third option is objectively inferior, it must be avoided. Instead, you should weigh the advantages against your character build and choose either the Predator’s Mark Amulet or the Resurrection Doe to make the most appropriate decision for your progress in the game.

Remnant 2 gameplay

Remnant 2, like its predecessor, is a third-person shooter inspired by the Souls-like video game. Players can use up to two guns and melee weapons. At the beginning of the game, they can choose from different character archetypes. For example, the Gunslinger class focuses on firearms, replacing the former Cult class from the first game.

The Challenger class has a blast wave capability that crushes enemies, while the Handler class is accompanied by a dog to assist in combat. As players progress, they can dual-class, unlocking new abilities and perks specific to their chosen archetype.

The game significantly expands on the procedural generation found in the first installment. In Remnant 2, not only are level layouts and enemy spawn points procedurally generated, but enemy types, area aesthetics, boss and non-playable characters, and the game’s storyline and missions are all randomly generated. This ensures a unique and varied experience every time you play.

Players can choose to complete the entire game alone, but Remnant 2 also supports multiplayer co-op mode, allowing up to three players to team up to tackle challenges together.
