Susuk Ending Explanation
At the end of the movie Susuk, Ayu tries to save her sister Laras from the demon that possesses her. They travel to their mother’s burial site in hopes of stopping the evil there. Along the way, they face many challenges, including attacks from villagers who want them to leave.

When they finally reach the tomb, they find Lalas awake and attacking them. In the confusion, Ayu realizes that the evil is connected to their mother and decides to push Lalas into the tomb. This action seems to free Lalas from the darkness that is engulfing her.
After burying Lalas and their mother, Ayu returns to her normal life, symbolized by cleaning herself with the taxi’s rearview mirror. The ending suggests that Ayu may have lost everyone she loved because of a needle that brought beauty but also evil.
It’s a warning about the dangers of pursuing beauty at any cost. The film leaves some unanswered questions, like whether evil is possession or something else, but ultimately it’s a story about the consequences of vanity and the importance of accepting yourself for who you are.
