- (Special) Fixed an issue where some moves would be delayed by 1 frame when buffering attack input during recovery
- Balcony rest
- Adjustments have been made to pushback collision detection since using certain moves would cause balconies to break and characters to be outside of the combat area.
Alisa (bug fix)
- Hertz Blade – Diablo (During Destruction Form f 1+2)
- In practice mode, the frame advantage display was inaccurate. It was originally displayed as blocks + 8 frames, but the correct value was blocks + 5 frames.
Demon Gold (weakened)
- Spinning Demonic Hellfire Beam (f, n, d, D/F 4 > 1+2 on hit)
- Damage distribution changed from 10/20 to 7/14
- Reduced the forward movement of the first strike to shorten its range.
- Fixed an issue where the distance between the character and the opponent would increase only when inputting a second hit.
- Tiger Thrush (1 bird, singing in the morning)
- Reduced the attack duration by 1 frame to make it less likely to hit an evading opponent.
- Changed the damage from 25 to 20.
- Modified fragment damage on blocks from 10 to 6.
Dragunov (Nerf)
- Avalanche Hammer Charge (d 1, 2, 1+2)
- The recovery frames for the first two attacks have been increased by 2 frames (Defense: -6 frames >>> -8 frames, Attack: +8 frames >>> +6 frames). The third attack of a combo is not affected.
- Slice Sobat (u/f 4 or u 4 or u/b 4)
- Characters now turn towards their opponents when they hit them. This change makes follow-up attacks more stable when hitting off-axis.
- Opponents now enter the Downed state 6 frames earlier.
- Ignition switch (d, d/f, f 4)
- The distance between players and opponents when blocking has been increased.
- Chip damage during blocking has been changed from 8 to 5.

- Ding Zhou Mengpo Research (b 1, 1+2)
- Only when the move is blocked, the recovery time inflicted on the opponent is reduced by 3 frames, causing the frame advantage when blocking to increase from -9 frames to -12 frames.

Tekken 8 is the latest entry in the famous fighting game series developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and debuted on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S platforms on January 26, 2024. As the eighth main work in the series, the story of Tekken 8 unfolds in a story mode called “Dark Awakening”, which is set six months after the events of the previous game.
The storyline revolves around the intense confrontation between father and son Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, who attempts to end the turmoil within his family by confronting his father. With a total of 32 characters, Tekken 8 combines beloved classics with exciting new characters, each of whom plays an important role in the game’s overarching plot.
The game’s development was first hinted at in August 2022 before being officially announced during Sony’s State of Play event the following month. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Tekken 8 emphasizes a more aggressive tone while refining and enhancing combat mechanics introduced in previous versions.
New gameplay elements introduced include the “Heat” system and “Tornado” attack, as well as updated character models and voice acting. The online mode offers a range of features, including arcade missions featuring tournaments, arcade-style gameplay options, customizable avatars, and a unique in-game currency system. Prior to release, stability testing of Tekken 8 began in July and October 2023, and a demo version was launched on PlayStation and Xbox Series platforms in December.

Tekken 8 Gameplay
Tekken 8 retains the classic fighting game style of its predecessors while striving to provide a more offensive gaming experience, as emphasized by producer Katsuhiro Harada. The game introduces an innovative “heat” system that encourages active offensive strategies rather than defensive ones.
In the “Heat” state, characters can not only deal chip damage and unlock more moves, but also the properties of the moves will change, such as strengthening defense breakthrough. Fighters in this state can sprint to cancel moves, and can use specific moves to manipulate the heat timer. Defensive heavy attacks or heat state characters will cause chip damage, while attacking opponents will restore health to players.
The “Rage” system returns with a revamp, notably the introduction of the “Heat Smash” super move, which is tied to the Heat system. Additionally, the “Screw” mechanic is replaced with the “Tornado” extender. Some stages feature hazards, such as reinforced walls and floors that require multiple hits to break, and explosive elements that launch opponents upward.
TEKKEN 8 enhances the cinematic combat experience with dynamic stage destruction and character-specific reactions. All character models and voice acting are brand new, providing a fresh visual and audio experience. Online modes include the “Arcade Quest” battle lobby, regular online battles, and tournaments. Players can personalize their avatars using the in-game currency “Fight Money”.

Six months after Heihachi’s disappearance, Jin Kazama, along with his allies Lars Alexanderson and Li Chaolan, traveled to New York to confront Mishima Kazuya. The conflict erupted into a catastrophic battle with heavy casualties.
Kazuya reveals his demon form and announces a new Iron Fist King tournament, where representatives from all nations must fight. The victorious nation will be spared, while the losing nation will face destruction.
While recovering from his injury, Jin finds that he can’t activate his demonic powers at will. While competing in the Japanese Championship qualifiers, he meets Reina, a student at Mishima Institute of Technology who looks very similar to his grandfather Heihachi. Unbeknownst to Jin, Reina is actually from Mishima and has an ulterior motive to uncover the secrets behind the activation of his demonic powers.
Elsewhere in Italy, Claudio Serafino, Zaffina, Ling Xiaoyu and others observe the progress of the tournament. Zaffina warns that Kazuya’s plan must be stopped immediately and sets out to find Jin. Meanwhile, Niklas Klisson reveals important information about the demon gene and Azazel to Yggdrasil.

As the main event begins, Kazuya absorbs Azazel’s power and becomes a true demon. Jin, Leroy Smith, and others unite to resist Kazuya’s tyranny. In a daring move, Claudio uses his powers to injure Kazuya, seemingly sacrificing himself in the process.
Determined to regain control of his demonic powers, Jin sets out on a journey to the Kazama Temple. Bent on destroying the rebels, Kazuya faces fierce opposition from Yggdrasil, the United Nations Independent Forces, and former tournament participants.
In a subconscious confrontation, Jin battles his demonic self and eventually accepts and masters his own power. Jin saves Lars from Kazuya’s fierce attack and engages in a climactic duel with Kazuya, ultimately purifying both of their demonic genes.

Jin awakens in his angelic form, defeats Kazuya, and leaves with Tama. In the end credits, Reina, who was thought dead after Kazuya’s attack, survives and reveals her dormant demon gene, vowing to avenge her father, Heihachi.
