Two Pokémon 2 series leaving Netflix ahead of Horizons launch
In March 2024, Netflix will say goodbye to two Pokémon series ahead of the release of Pokémon Horizon Season 26. Pokémon Journeys and Pokémon Masters Journeys (also known as Seasons 23 and 24) will leave the streaming platform. This means that fans will not be able to watch these shows on Netflix from March 5, 2024.

Pokémon Journeys is the 23rd season of the Pokémon animated series. It is also the first season of the Pokémon Journeys series. The show follows Ash Ketchum and Goh on their adventures through all eight regions of the Pokémon world.

The series first premiered on Teletoon in Canada on May 9, 2020. In the United States, Netflix acquired the rights to distribute future seasons starting with Pokémon Journeys. The episodes are released in 12-episode chunks every few months. On October 9, 2020, the show’s airing time was changed from Sunday to Friday. In the United Kingdom, the series aired on Pop from September 1, 2020, and subsequently on Pop Max from August 30, 2021.
Pokémon Masters Journey
Pokémon Masters Journey: The Series is the 24th season of the Pokémon anime series. It is also the second season of Pokémon Journeys: The Series. The season premiered on TV Tokyo in Japan on December 11, 2020. In Canada, it aired on Teletoon in June 2021 and on Télétoon in July 2021.
In the United States, the season was released as a streaming television series on Netflix. The first 12 episodes were released on September 10, 2021, with new episodes released on January 21 and May 26, 2022.
The storyline follows the ongoing adventures of Ash Ketchum and Goh as they continue their research in all eight regions of the Pokémon world. This includes exploring the new Galar region in Pokémon Sword and Shield and the Crown Tundra expansion. The characters are located in Cerise’s Laboratory in Vermillion City in the Kanto region.
