UK general election 2024: key dates and voting process
The 2024 UK general election will be held on July 4, 2024. Voting starts at 7am and ends at 10pm. Voters can vote at a polling station or mail in their ballot in advance.

The British Prime Minister is the leader of the party that wins the majority of seats in the general election. A party needs to win 326 of the 650 seats to have a majority in the House of Commons.
