How is the President of the International Chamber of Commerce elected?

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates for the ICC President are usually selected from among the 12 full members of the ICC.

Nominations:

Who is the current President of the International Chamber of Commerce?

Currently, Greg Barclay, a Canadian-New Zealand sports administrator, serves as the President of the International Cricket Council, a position he was elected to on November 24, 2020.

He has extensive experience in cricket administration, having served as New Zealand Cricket Director from 2016 to 2020. As the International Cricket Council president can be re-elected for three terms of two years each, Buckley has served in the position for four years.

The new ICC president is expected to be Jay Shah, currently the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the son of India’s current Home Minister Amit Shah.
