• Quinn Ewers was born in San Antonio on March 15, 2003, and spent his formative years in Southlake, Texas, where he attended Carroll High School. Under the guidance of coach Riley Dodge, he not only excelled in football, but also showed his talents in baseball before. Ewers showed his ability in sixth grade and was offered a prestigious football scholarship by Graham Harrell.
• In his sophomore year, Ewers showed extraordinary ability, completing 291 of 402 passes for 3,998 yards, 45 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. His performance was crucial in leading Southlake Carroll to the Texas 6A Class I quarterfinals, although they were ultimately defeated by Duncanville.
• Despite missing six games due to injury during his junior season, Ewers threw for 2,442 yards and 28 touchdowns in eight games. Southlake Carroll advanced to the 6A Division I Texas State Tournament, but fell against Westlake High School.
• His talent was further recognized when he competed in the 2021 Elite 11 competition, where he finished sixth despite stiff competition.
• Entering his senior year, Ewers was hailed as the top recruit in the 2022 class by multiple media outlets. He initially committed to the University of Texas, then changed his tune and decommitted from the Longhorns in October before announcing his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes in November 2020.
