Early Career
Stone was born in Norwich, Norfolk, and completed his primary education at Thorpe St Andrew’s School. He began his cricket career at Norfolk County Cricket Club in 2011, and at Northamptonshire Cricket Academy, where he played for the second team in 2010 and the first team in 2012.

International career
Stone played for England at all levels of cricket, from youth to senior level, and was called up to the England Under-19 team for the 2013 tour of South Africa, where he took 11 wickets for a total of 79 runs, the best bowling performance for an England Under-19 team in a youth Test match.
In October 2018, Stone was selected for the England cricket squad for the first time for a one-day international against Sri Lanka. In July 2019, he made his Test debut against Ireland at home. He has since played three Tests, twenty-eight one-day internationals and one T20I for England until August 2024.
Domestic business
Ollie Stone played for Northamptonshire from 2012 to 2016, before moving to Warwickshire and agreeing to play for the team for three seasons after the 2016 season. In 2022, he signed a three-year contract with Nottinghamshire, which will take effect at the end of 2022.
He has also played in other domestic T20 leagues, including Birmingham Phoenix in the 2022 Hundred and Melbourne Stars in the 2023-24 Australian Premier League.
