Tekken 8

“Tekken 8” is a fighting game jointly launched by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika. It will be launched on PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S on January 26, 2024. As the eighth canon version and tenth game in the Tekken series, this game unveils its mystery. The story mode “Dark Awakening” is set six months after its predecessor. The story revolves around the ultimate conflict between father Mishima Kazuya and son Kazama Jin in an effort to end the turmoil in the family lineage.

Tekken 8 features 32 characters, each with their own story that contributes to the main plot, introducing new mechanics such as the “Heat” system and “Tornado” popular gameplay. The game was developed using Unreal Engine 5, went through stability testing, and will launch a demo version in December 2023. Tekken 8 aims to provide a cinematic combat experience with an emphasis on staged destruction and character reactions. The game features new character models and voice acting, as well as a revamped online mode, “Arcade Quest,” with customizable avatars and a “Fight Money” currency.
