The Women’s Premier League (WPL) Auction 2025 to be held in Bengaluru on December 15, 2024 is one of the most anticipated events in the world of women’s cricket.
It features an intense rivalry between four renowned teams: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC) and UP Warriorz (UP).

MI also retained 14 players and purchased 4 players with Rs 65 lakh remaining.

UP retained the highest number of players with 15 and purchased 4, leaving Rs 370 crore.

The WPL 2025 auction takes place on Sunday, December 15, in Bengaluru. A total of 19 players, including five overseas cricketers, were sold during the mini-auction. The five participating teams spent a total of Rs 9.05 crore to secure their players.
Deandra Dottin, the all-rounder from the West Indies, was signed by the Gujarat Giants for Rs 170 crore in a bidding war with UP Warriorz.
The most notable among them is Simran Shaikh, a Mumbai batsman who has not played for the national team, who became the most expensive player in the bidding at Rs 190 crore. After defeating Delhi Capitals, he also joined Gujarat Giants.
Young wicketkeeper G Kamalini from India U19 was picked by Mumbai Indians for Rs 160 Crores after playing against Delhi Capitals.
Also, all-rounder Prema Rawat from Uttarakhand has joined Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 120 crore. There are 120 players participating in the auction and each team has a squad budget of Rs 15 crore.
