Yosuga No Sora ending explained
Unfortunately, Haruka and Sora drowned. Because their presence went unnoticed, their bodies will never be recovered. At 13:50, Akira felt that Haruka had made a decision: if Sora could not stop him or was already dead, Haruka would also choose to end his life because the world did not allow them to be together.
Later, Kazuha breaks into their residence and finds Haruka’s cell phone, which contains Sora’s last message. A few days passed and there was still no sign of them, so Kazuha speculated that they had either signed a love letter or escaped.

In order to let others know the truth, she used Haruka’s phone to send a fabricated message to her own phone. Akira, who was closest to Kazuha, observed the broken window and injured rabbit and deduced what her half-sister had done. Notably, Kazuha is the only one to bow to the house, fully aware that Haruka and Sora are dead.
The presence of rabbits can provide evidence for those who may need more time to understand the situation. The depiction of an empty train transitioning from darkness to light and other elements suggest that Haruka and Sora have been “reborn” in the form of the afterlife and that they can continue to be together. For them, this is the happiest ending.
However, Kozue is still deeply affected by these events, and Kazuha feels guilty for being dishonest to her friends. Akira is naturally distraught when she learns of her friend’s fate and deception. If she connects it to a previous premonition, she may feel even more remorseful for not investigating further.
All in all, Haruka and Sora ended up drowning in a lake. Their deaths went unnoticed and their bodies were never found. Using Akira’s intuition, Kazuha’s deductions, and symbolic elements, this series of events charts their fate and the emotional impact it has on those left behind. The story delivers a bittersweet ending that highlights themes of love and the complexities of relationships.
