You are watching: How to Complete Igon’s Side Quest in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
You will first meet Igon near the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace, sitting on the floor crying in pain. It looks like Igon is afraid of something. Talking to him will do no good unless you come back after a while. When you talk to him again, he will talk about finding Bayle.
Follow the path straight ahead and enter the Dragon’s Lair on your left. When you return to find Egon after clearing the Dragon’s Lair dungeon, he will no longer be there.
Second encounter with Egon
To find Egon again, leave the Dragon Cave and follow the path northwest of the Jagged Peak Dragon in the lake. Follow this path until you come to the Spirit Spring. Jump up from the Spirit Spring and cross the bridge to the Land of Grace at the foot of Jagged Peak.

There are two Jagged Peak dragons ahead of you, attacking each other. You must defeat them both before you can talk to Igon again. Wait for one of the two dragons to defeat the other, then go in and fight it.
After the battle, Egon will appear next to the arena. Talk to him and he will ask you to defeat the terrible Bile. He will also give you the Curled Finger of Egon, allowing you to summon him in battle.
Where to find the terrible Bayer
Go straight past Egon and jump from two spiritual springs. Enter the cave, go straight and dodge the boulders. Turn left and you will enter an arena where you will fight the ancient dragon Senaxax.
After the battle, go straight ahead and rest at the Land of Grace on the mountainside of Jagged Peak. Take the path to the left and keep following this path until you reach the third Spirit Spring, which will take you to the Land of Grace at the top of Jagged Peak.

Now you will face the terrible Bayer in the Boss Arena. Be prepared to die many times when facing Bayer, as this dragon is very durable and deals high damage. You need to raise the Scadutree blessing to above 10. Also, if you are using the Str-Dex build, the Dragon Hunter’s Great Katana is your best weapon against Bayer.

After defeating Bile, return to Egon in the arena where you faced off against the two dragons. You will see his body lying on the ground with Egon’s Armor Suit, Egon’s Greatbow, and Egon’s Bell Bearing.
That’s the complete Igon questline. Defeating Bayle is also part of the Dragon Communion Priestess quest, which will give you one of the two dragon forms in Elden Ring.
