How to Heal in Pax Dei

As you explore your surroundings in Pax Dei, you’ll occasionally run into hostile animals. For me, a small herd of wild boars in the forest gave me a taste of respawning in an MMORPG. If only I knew then what I know now! Here are the treatments in Pax Dei!

How to Heal Yourself in Pax Dei

Early in the game, the best way to heal yourself in Pax Dei is to eat a variety of foods. You have several food buff slots, and they stack as long as you eat different types of food. For example, if you eat blueberries and raspberries, you’ll get additional healing and stamina buffs. But if you only eat blueberries, the buffs will be smaller overall.

However, as you progress further in the game, you’ll eventually unlock a variety of health potions, including:

  • Healing Potion
  • Health Supplements
  • Minor health supplements
  • Primary Healing Potion
  • Weakness Supplements
  • Weak Health Potion

Since they are essentially magical potions, these tonics do require finer ingredients, such as water and Elegant Stinkhorn extract, as well as an alchemy table to actually craft the item.

Where to find healing items in Pax Dei

For the most part, everything you need can be found somewhere in the world. From the moment you enter the game, start observing your surroundings. On the ground, you’ll occasionally see a bush with blue spots, indicating a blueberry patch. Nearby is a slightly larger raspberry bush with red spots. I often find raspberries near flax fields!

But you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for the human-sized fruit trees that bear apples. From each tree you’ll harvest a small bushel of apples, and learn a new recipe when you pick your first apple!

As for the resources needed to craft health potions and tonics, these will become available later in the game, once you start to learn more about the mechanics of Pax Dei, especially alchemy. We will cover alchemy in depth in the near future!
