FragPunk is an upcoming stylish 5v5 hero shooter that was officially unveiled at the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase. The game features the use of power-up cards to change the rules of each match, and based on the brief footage we’ve seen so far, it looks very interesting. It’s due out sometime next year, but if you want to try it out early, you can sign up for the FragPunk closed alpha test, and here’s how.

Sign up for the FragPunk Closed Alpha
You can sign up for the FragPunk closed alpha test by clicking the “Request Access” button on the Steam page or visiting the official website.

- If you registered using email through the website, you will receive an email from the developer containing your Steam key and redemption instructions.
- If you requested access through Steam, you will receive an email from Steam confirming your entry, and the closed alpha test will appear in your library.

According to the FAQ, the closed alpha test will include an early version of the game that features 10 heroes, 15 different weapons, four competitive maps, and more than 70 unique shard cards.
FragPunk Closed Alpha Testing Schedule
The test will run for approximately 5 days, from 5 PM PDT on June 27 to 11:59 PM PDT on July 1. This test is only available on PC via Steam.

If you’re not invited this time, according to the developer, there will be more opportunities to play FragPunk in the future.
We’ll definitely be signing up for the Alpha and are eager to see what the developers cook up. It’ll also be coming to Xbox Series S|X, and we hope similar testing is planned for that console as well.
