This year, Amitabh Bachhan became the top tax celebrity in fiscal 2024-25 by paying a staggering INR 1.2 billion.

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay ranked second among India’s highest tax celebrity in fiscal 2023-24. His tax contribution of Rs 80 crore has maintained a strong influence on the list of top taxpayers.
Vijay’s substantial revenues are derived from his widespread welcome in the South Indian film industry, lucrative film deals and valuable brand recognition.
The actor also recently entered politics by launching his party, Thamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), and plans to compete in the 2026 Tamil Nadu parliamentary elections.
#4. Salman Khan: Rs 75 crore
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan secured his third place with Rs 75 crore taxes for fiscal 2023-24. His revenue continues to come from a variety of sources, including film projects, television appearances (especially as a host of Bigg Boss), and numerous brand recognitions.
